Sera AI Writer is a complete editorial workflow tool built into WordPress. It includes a distraction-free editor, content pipeline, editorial calendar, AI writing coach, and team collaboration features. It requires Sera Core.
The Editor
The AI Writer editor (Sera > Writer > Editor) is a full-screen, distraction-free writing environment:
- Clean interface β No WordPress admin chrome, just your content
- Rich text formatting β Headings, bold, italic, lists, blockquotes, code blocks, tables
- Inline AI assistance β Highlight text and ask the AI to rewrite, expand, summarize, or translate
- Word count and reading time β Real-time statistics in the status bar
- Auto-save β Content is saved automatically every 30 seconds
- Version history β View and restore previous versions of your content
AI Writing Features
The AI can help you:
- Generate outlines β Provide a topic and get a structured outline

Content Pipeline

Customization
- Add, remove, or rename stages
- Set stage colors and icons
- Define required fields for each stage (e.g., "SEO title required before moving to Review")

Editorial Calendar
The calendar (Sera > Writer > Calendar) provides a visual overview of your content schedule:
- Month/week/day views β See your publishing schedule at a glance
- Drag and drop β Reschedule content by dragging it to a new date
- Color coding β Content is color-coded by status (draft, scheduled, published)
- Filters β Filter by author, category, or content type
AI Writing Coach
The AI Coach provides real-time feedback as you write:
- Readability score β Flesch-Kincaid grade level and reading ease
