Transferring Licenses Between Sites

You can move your Sera license from one WordPress site to another at any time. This is useful when migrating to a new domain, setting up a staging environment, or switching hosts.

Transfer Process

Step 1: Deactivate on the Current Site

  1. Go to Sera > License on your current site
  2. Click Deactivate
  3. Confirm the deactivation

Step 2: Activate on the New Site

  1. Install the Sera plugin(s) on your new site
  2. Go to Sera > License
  3. Enter the same license key
  4. Click Activate

Remote Deactivation

If you no longer have access to the old site:

  1. Log into your sera.guru account
  2. Go to Account > License Keys
  3. Find the license key
  4. Click Manage Activations
  5. Remove the old site from the activation list

Staging and Development Sites

Your license can be activated on staging and development environments:

  • Localhost β€” Activations on localhost do not count toward your site limit
  • Staging subdomains β€” Activations on common staging patterns (staging., dev., test.) do not count toward your limit

Domain Changes

If you change your domain name:

  1. Deactivate the license on the old domain
  2. Activate on the new domain

If you forget to deactivate first, use the remote deactivation method from your sera.guru account.
